wed pei tt wanlin go buy bag, then thur pei her go cycling too lol. actually wan ask her cousin n her cousin's fren 2 go de, but she say those 2 guys like blockhead, maybe will hav nthn to talk abt. aha, so we gav up on tt idea! lol. then sat maybe going nyp de IT workshop from 10- 2, try out c wad is IT abt. anyway any1 wanna go also can tell mi, we can go 2gth. coz now onli myrin n mi going haha. then ltr that going 2h class outing at sentosa! woo!

ShArDs [chapter9: The painful revelation]

Upon reaching the hospital, Josh dashed like a bolt of lightning to the doctor's room. He felt greatly traumatized and thought, Why didn't i realise it earlier?

Mr tan, the doctor, stared quizzically at Josh.

"Hey doctor, don't you have a patient named Camie Chong?" Josh gasped for breaths.

"What's the matter, young man?"

"Please! Let me know what's wrong with her! I need to know!" There was a tinge of desperation in Josh's shaky voice.

The doctor studied Josh carefully, straightened his back, and locked eyes with Josh.

"Sorry, I can't reveal my patient's particulars."

Josh's mouth was dry with dread.

"Please, I know you have the duty to keep it confidential. But.. I'm her friend! i need to know, desperately!" Josh pleaded.

The doctor hesitated.

"Sorry, it's not within my capacity. I'm really sorry. The patient had told me to keep it confidential." The doctor shook his head to show that there was nothing he could do.

Josh was angry at the doctor. He wanted so much to grab his collar and force the truth out of him. On the contrary, he wanted more to punch himself hard for not realising it earlier. He felt tormented, no, worse.

"Aren't you Josh?" A demure lady spoke.

Josh turned.

It was Camie's mum.

"Let's take a stroll in the garden, Josh." Camie's mum forced a smile.

The garden was beautiful and springy with life, flowers flourished accompanied by birds singing rhythmic tunes. Yet, Josh was oblivious to the surrounding. He was worried, very worried.

"Auntie, could you fill me on about Camie's condition?" Josh pleaded.

Camie's mum sighed," I guess i should."

"She was well at first, a really lively and adorable young girl. We never had to worry about her, until recently... " With that, a streak of tear fell down to her chin as she wiped it off hastily.

"That day, it started out just like every normal day. It was in the afternoon that we received a call from the hospital that Camie had fainted and was sent to the hospital. We... we realised that she had difficulty in breathing, which explains why she fainted so.. suddenly." Camie's mum paused to suppress her emotions with great effort.

"She was diagnosed with a rare illness... The... the doctor said that there is an extra vein in Camie's heart. Sometimes, her heart may beat exceedingly fast, so... so... so fast that... the vein may not be in time to transport oxygen to... to her heart. It may happen anytime... anywhere..." Camie's mum broke down into tears, with her hands over her face.

"She may suddenly run out of oxygen, can't catch her breaths. If... if it's not treated, she may die anytime... But... we're poor... we can't afford the medical fees for surgery... I'm scared... really scared... I can't afford to lose Camie... She's my girl!" Camie's mum wept in anguish.

Josh was strickened. he had no more strength to move on. He could not accept it and he did not want to accept it. He was plunged into hell and felt resentment.

Why didn't it happen to me instead? Why? A good girl like Camie, She don't deserve any of these! Josh clenched his fist tightly.

they say ltr wan go long john sia, agn! lol.

then tml going bugis agn! lol. going crazy soon, but tml gonna go pizzzzzzzaaaaa hut! yay haha. n tml at bugis j gt daren n diya sia! haha myrin so happi sia. but im not gonna go there! so mani ppl!! haha but i tink myrin will be tinkin of daren a lot!

hey hey, another day have passed! i dunno wad 2 say 2dae, suddenly at a loss 4 words! but i got some meaningful phrases here! haha.

It may take a few seconds 2 like someone, yet months to trust someone. So, it's hard to find a true confidant who truly wans 2 understands you. If u hav, u should learn 2 cherish.

A fren is someone who reaches 4 ur hand n touches ur heart, not jus abt havin fun 2gth.

In love, both parties should accept each others' shortcomings, n c them in a good light. no one is perfect in any case.

If u hav any unhappiness, its beta 2 tell it 2 someone than bleeding inside silently. u will definitely feel a million times beta.

Frens r quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings hav trouble rmbing how 2 fly.

True frenship is like sound health, e value of it is seldom known until it be lost.

A real fren is one who walks in when e rest of e world walks out.

Frens r God's way of taking care of us.

A fren is someone who knows e song in ur heart n can sing it bck to u when u hav 4gotten e words.

ShArDs [chapter8: Don't leave me]

Josh continued to try to reach Camie everyday, yet without any result. This time, he dialled Camie's house number slowly, praying hard that someone would pick up the phone.

The phone sounded once.

Twice.

The third time.

It stopped for a brief second.

"Hello?"

Josh was filled with a mixture of joy and disbelief.

"Hello? Anyone there?" The voice spoke again, this time a little more impatiently.

Josh was dragged back to reality and replied quickly, "Oh yea. Sorry, may I speak to Camie please?"

There was a prolonged silence.

"Hey? Excuse me?" Josh asked softly.

The person on the other end of the line cleared her throat and muttered," She's not in."

"Wait! Erm, could you fill me on with her whereabouts? I've been trying to reach her these few days."

"Who are you?"

"I'm Josh. A friend of hers."

"I'm her mum."

"Oh hi! Camie's mum!"

Camie's mum hesitated for a few seconds and finally spoke, "She's not well to see or even talk to anyone for the time being."

"What happened to her?" Josh implored.

"Sorry, i can't tell you..."

". . . "

The line was cut off.

Josh got more worried, yet he felt so helpless as there was nothing he could do.

It was then something struck him.

The hospital! He thought. What was that doctor's name whom i saw Camie with?

Josh ran and stumbled in panic, grabbed his wallet and handphone along, and out of the house. He hailed a cab with little patience and got into it hastily.

"Singapore General Hospital please!"

On the way, Josh was praying hard.

Please don't let anything bad happen to Camie. I need her. Don't let her leave me...

went out to orchard wit kelvin ytd. met at khatib. i tink i v toopid sia, he say meet at last cabin i go first cabin. zhen shi de. okay then went 2 e shaw centre for his interview. quite a lot of guys came for e interview sia. then went to far east. didnt manage to find nice belts for myrin aha. then shop shop talk talk. n i cannt find e tank top myrin wanted too! haha.

went cine then sit down and chat i tink for abt an hour plus? lol. then sl came n find mi sia, she say wad wan do hw at BK. so funni! then we went in 2 watch e ghost tunnel. zhen shi de, it was v scary! e sound effect xia dao wo. then they kip on repeating a horrible scene..!! anyway it was really cold inside n i was shivering throughout. next time must bring blanket liao lol.

aha n realised kelvin also gt play habbo!!! wahh got tong ban play childish game wit mi haha. but i tink i long time nvr play habbo le! dunno if my frens gt del mi mah haha.

anyway kelvin, thanks 4 e treat ya! n it was fun ytd haha.

then went sp n met mum n dad n sis. haha bought fries for myrin, cher n darren since they asked mi to buy! then went home. i found 1 v shocking news! my bro n myrin's dad had a heated argument while i was away. lol! they say until so funni. li hai sia bro, dare to go against him haha. v pei fu!

then myrin agreed 2 chat wit mi! lol. such a miracle sia. lol. anyway we chatted until 11 plus then she tired liao! zhen shi de so early. but fun aha.

anyway, i updated 2 chaps! hehe so happi. anyway, tributes to myrin 4 helping mi type in! thanks a million!

ShArDs [ chapter7: The first and the last?]

This day, Josh reached the beach far earlier than the meeting time. He was too excited about their date. He had spent the night tossing and turning, anticipating about their date. When Camie arrived, his heart almost leapt out.

They spent the afternoon hanging around in the beach, chatting and cycling. They felt great to be in each other's company.

Once, Josh grabbed Camie and threw her into the waters. She was soaked thoroughly. Josh took the chance to hold Camie's hand and pulled her up on shore.

By evening, they were lying side by side, laughing hard.

"You know, I feel this is the right time to tell you." Josh uttered.

"Yea?"

"In my eyes, there's only you and you alone. I can't see Kimmie, not to mention Kay."

Camie smiled.

"Hey, could you tell me the three words for once?" Josh implored.

"What three words?"

"Don't fake! You know, I know, everyone knows!"

"Dream on!" Camie replied naughtily and ran off, with Josh running behind her.

The following day, Josh made a morning call to Camie. Nevertheless, no one answered. He felt uneasy. Camie was not in school, and it made Josh worried. Josh pressed the doorbell to Camie's house repeatedly but had no reply. Now, Josh was sick with worry.

What happened to you? Josh thought.

ShArDs [chapter6: The appearance of a new rival]

Josh took a train as usual, and he was wide awake expecting to see Camie step into the train anytime. Much to his disappointment, Kay walked in instead.

Kay is a tall and cool girl, not Josh's type at all. However, she is well known and loved by her friends. There were a great number of guys who faced rejection from her. Guess she's a girl hard to sought after.

In the blink of an eye, Josh saw a man stealing Kay's wallet painstakingly from her billabong bag. He grimaced and eyed the man's every move.

"Hey jerk." Josh called out to the pickpocket mockingly.

The pickpocket jumped in shock and looked at Josh fearfully.

"Hey there. You better return her wallet or I swear you'll be very sorry." Josh exclaimed coolly.

The pickpocket looked around frantically and all eyes were on him. He had no choice. Stretching out his trembling hands, he returned Kay's wallet, and ran off hastily when the next station came.

"Hey thanks." Kay whispered to Josh.

"Nah, don't think much about it."

The next day, rumors were in the air that Kay is after Josh. It was the first time Kay went after a guy with such publication.

"So, you must be really happy ya?" Camie questioned Josh, pretending to be nonchalant.

"About what?" Josh enquired.

"Don't fake your ignorance. You know, Kay."

"Oh... Why do you wanna know?" Josh raised his eyebrows.

"Never mind if you don't wanna tell..."

"No no, I wanna tell you, but the time is not ripe yet."

"Don't be lame, Josh." Camie replied and received a wink from Josh.

"Guys are ambiguous, indeed." Camie smiled.

The following day, Camie disappeared without a trace during recess, once again. However, this time round, Josh swore that he's gonna find her no matter what it takes.

Josh searched frantically level by level and was perspiring profusely upon reaching the fourth level. Breaths quick and heavy, Josh was slouching with his hands resting on his knees.

Where exactly is Camie? Josh thought.

It was then he heard something dropped that he turned immediately. Inside his heart, he was repeating Camie's name, as if she would appear out of nowhere. Nevertheless, it was not her, but the cleaner.

"Did I scare you?" The cleaner asked, eyes wide due to Josh's sudden movement.

Josh walked away, filled with disappointment. There were just a few minutes left before recess ends. He could not find Camie, guess it was meant to be.

Josh strolled past the corridor in an attempt to get back to the classroom. He saw the door leading to an abandoned staircase.

Go in. His heart urged.

It was then the bell sounded. Josh gave a second look to the door and started to walk away when he heard footsteps echoing. He opened the door slowly and heard the door creak eerily. The footsteps were getting closer and closer, seconds by seconds.

Finally, he saw a pair of legs. With slow motion, Josh stared up, which seemed to take forever.It bred familiarity.

Camie.

So, she had been hiding there all along, every recess. Josh stared into her eyes questioningly and saw her eyes softened.

"I can't have my recess. I mean, I'm poor, I have to save up." Camie said, with a sprinkle of tear falling from her eye.

"No way, why didn't you tell me before?" Josh breathed.

"I even had to borrow the dress for the dance party. I didn't want you to get all worried about me..."

"So that's why you hid yourself here all along?"

"Yea."

Josh felt a knife through his heart, he was hurting for Camie. So this is how hard she lives.Why didn't I realise it before?

Josh made up his mind to make Camie happy, everyday, without fail. Well, he did it. His mere presence brought Camie joy instantly.

This time, Josh plucked up his courage to pose the question to Camie again.

"Would you be with me? Camie?"

Camie replied tentatively," Let's try it out for one day, okay?"

Josh was mad with joy. It was the happipest day of his life.

ytd went out to bugis! aha was fun. bugis street rocks! so mani nice clothes sia. cher, myrin n mi shopped, then met san jie. n then shop shop shop. lol.

cher bought a top, i dunno how to descibe, onli noe is sleeveless haha. then a jean shorts really cute sia! aha, then myrin bought another bare shoulders de, yellow top. then with a jean pants till knee de. i bought a purple t-shirt n a jean pants till knee de aha. quite casual la.

was really fun aha. then we met jh n ate dinner at long john. then shopped for his clothes. GUYS CLOTHES R REALLY NICE N EASY TO FIND. there gt so mani nice clothes for guys. jus anyhow take some nice liao. then gals de so hard to find! i dunno izzit we too fussy or wad lol. anyway, he managed to get his clothes in less than 45mins.

was really fun aha, i was energetic sia. but my shoe, e stripe came out once agn! n i kept adjusting it! vomit blood.

anyway ytd was really fun! aha.

actually finished chap 6 ytd, but wanted to extend it haha. so i tink tml can write le. sry for e lag time aha. anyway thanks 4 visiting my blog!

actually 2dae wanted to go out with yj, sheena n sl de. then sheena mum dun let, n sl not free! so we cancelled e trip! then be4 tt kelvin invited mi go gym, then i sae cannt coz going out with sheena they all. so i ended up rotting at home aha.

so now im at home wit my sis n darren lol. myrin n cher went out with their aunts to shopping, n my mum went out wit my grandma! im bored to death! aha.

anyway, ltr going eat lunch with my sis in sp sia, she say wanna eat mac, then bring her eat lor aha.

hmm, looking 4ward to myrin's return coz i wanna c wad she bought. i guess she'll buy really nice clothes n accessories.

actually wanetd go causeway with myrin, but decided on far east coz there nthn to buy!

so myrin bought a black top bare shoulders de woo~ aha, then i lend ehr my tank top wear inside nice =) then a tight skirt yupp. actually i wanted to buy tt de, but she saw it first aha. i so gd let her buy lol! JK. then she couldnt find nice earrings, aha, she kip scolding mi for buyin 1 earring coz she like tt one also. =P

so 2 summarise wad i bought ytd. i bought a black sleeveless top with a white top inside. i mean, its 2 piece de aha. then a black skirt. ehh, i tink i look like pirate lol! coz its jus black n white. n e top e pic looks like pirate de hook. ytd i suddenly feel i v tall coz tt skirt quite short, then i tink my legs v long! lol!

then i bought a long long necklace, n 2 pair of earrings. quite fun sia. i was given hundred dollars, u noe y? coz myrin's grandma gav her hundred, then my mum also gav lol! but we didnt spend all la. still gt quite a lot left sia. hee. really fun leh, like no nid care much abt e budget.

ytd was really fun! aha! tml we all going out agn, but with more ppl. going bugis with cher, darren, jh, jm n maybe san jie. aha, sure fun! but i tink will take up a lot of time coz we all buying clothes. then must go guy shops n gals de. sure v long but fun aha. help them find clothes so fun sia!

hee im so excited abt tml i cant conceal my excitement! lol. anyway, beta stop crapping.

Went to watch dn2 with sheena n sl ytd nite. e cinema so scary sia, onli e 3 of us n 1 guy. n it was nite somemore. sheena go tap mi at my left where there is no one n i really cua tio. then i kip scolding her aha. n she gt scammed by me agn with e hi5 thingy. aha, i wanna hi5 wit her n then pulled my hand away. she look so funny! aha. hi5 to air sia.

ytd was quite gd e atmosphere, kept on jokin. enjoyed myself thoroughly. e cinema was freezing cold!!!!! i 4gt my jacket as usual aha. then we went to mr bean for hot tang yuan n beancurd.

anyway, i tink sat we going to tp open house, with yj, sl n sheena. but not sure if sl n sheena can make it anot. hope can! anyway. i tink my life is quite boring wonder if any of u r falling asleep. waha, anyway, stay happy guys!

ShArDs [chapter5: Never give up]

It was weekend, and Josh laid on his bed, thinking deeply. Camie is really one girl that proves hard to decipher. He thought. His heart pains at the thought of Camie's hard and cold eyes. The way things had turned out, it was unexpected. He never thought that their relationship would wither. It was heartwrenching.

Josh' mum, Kelly, interrupted his thoughts.

"Hey darling, would you mind lending me a helping hand? By fetching my medicine from the hospital?"

"Sure Madam, I'm at your bidding." Josh bowed exaggeratingly.

At the hospital, Josh met her mother's doctor and chatted a while.

"Although your mum's high fever had subsided, I advise you to continue with the one week dosage in order to keep it under control." The doctor said.

"Okay, I'll remind her."

On the way out of the hospital, Josh were still thinking about Camie. He failed to notice the open door in front of him and slammed right into the hard metal door.

"Ouch, it hurts," he reprimanded the door.

"Take the medicine on a daily basis and heed my advice. Take good care," Josh heard the doctor said.

Out of curiosity, he peeped into the room and noticed a petite girl sitting in front of the doctor, backfacing him.

"Thank you, doctor." The girl said. Somehow, Josh was puzzled that the girl looked somewhat familiar.

It was when the girl turned did he realised it was Camie. Without a second thought, he went into a full sprint and out of the hospital he goes.

Why would Camie need a doctor? Is she sick? Josh was worried.

Monday came and Josh managed to spot Camie before class. He had decided to stop running away, but to face her directly.

"Hey." Josh muttered.

"Hey." Camie replied.

"Let's stop the cold war okay? The school's too small for us to fight a real war, if need be." Josh winked.

"Lame." Camie snapped and smacked Josh square on his head.

"So... it's my turn to return your favour!" Josh exclaimed and ran after Camie in an attempt to smack her on her head, both laughing hysterically.

konnichiwa!

ytd was really fun ya! firstly, i made a great achievement! i was 4 mins earlier to meet wanlin! wahaha! finally not late sia. but i also not always late de la aha. then wanlin was late for 15mins! aha i so happy, become my turn to suan her.

anyway, then we went cineleisure to buy 5 tics of pan's lyabrinth. then went on to far east. we spent 45MINS searching for far east. aha, forgt e way sia. we walked all e way from somerset to quite far end of orchard. then finally, i rmb hav to go to orchard stat e undergrd there lol. anyway, it was really lame that we spent so long jus for that!

aha, then i bought a shirt, n a jean shorts with a polka dots belt. yay, so happi gt one more set of clothes! im running out of clothes! aha. ke lian wanlin waiting for me to try on e clothes for so long. she told mi if i go out wit my bf, he will sure be bored to death! aha, really???

then we shop shop, then met cheryl outside borders[a shop anyway, for myrin's knowledge =P]. then we went to another bk store, coz they wanna buy comics. cheryl was so ji dong when she saw her fav comics. lol.

then it was around 2 plus, yupp, n we went to cine to meet elaine n fiona. then went on to watch pan's lyabrinth. aha, NC16 sia. u noe, it wrote there, FANTASY. then we tot, yupp, fantasy, not tt bad. n aha! it was super scary! its so violent n bloody! really gross sia, one scene e guy's mouth gt slashed omg. elaine n mi were "eee", "omg","wth" here n there lol. but it was soft la. aha, if not ltr ppl scold sia. then elaine says" we can onli watch PG movies liao lol." then gt one scene gt a white monster, aiyo, tt one super scary n exciting. my heart was racing madly!

nevertheless, pan's lyabrinth is really nice la aha. watch it okie?! aha, go n get xia dao bahx. although v scary but i tink is nice aha.

then ltr we went shop a while onli. go c bags. i wanna get a sliding bag! aha, then we chatted on e train. aha, i kip callin elaine star, n she call mi apple! our maple nick! lol so funn. n we talked abt our maple di. so fast in less than 1 month lvl up to 65 sia. cua tio! aha, then wanlin with her funny nonsense agn lol, v funny.

anyway, they wanted to go bck phs 2dae. but i too tired liao, so nvr go, since 2nit going sp watch dn2 with sheena n sl.

i think ytd was really fun! i tink 2nite will be fun too! aha, frens rocks my life ya!

been watching sassy chun hyung, v nice n funni! must watch!

anyway, chap5 i haven write finish. only halfway thro! sry was quite busy aha! maybe tml will hav chap5 bahx. lol. continue to tune in to my blog k? aha.

tml going far east plaza with wanlin aha. then ltr gonna go catch a movie with elaine, fiona they all ha. m looking forward, sounds fun! gonna shop for new clothes n stuffs. waha, sure v fun!

anyway, thinking hard of wad 2 wear tmr! ahh, headache! aha, im running out of clothes sia, always wear e same ones. sheena, we rock! always wear e same clothes repeatedly aha!

nowadays quite slack, dun really like it. realised that slacking is actually so sian. but really happi gt a lot of dates with my frens haha.

ShArDs [chapter4: The mystery unveiled?]

The next day, Camie had came to school far earlier than usual in order to avoid Josh. She could not pluck up the courage to face Josh. She felt her energy drained away at the thought of being distant from Josh.

However, Josh was nowhere to be found, even when lessons were just a few minutes away. Time is ticking away, yet where is Josh? Camie worried.

"Hello." The DJ spoke solemnly.

The voice snapped Camie out of her thoughts.

"Testing one, two, three." It sounded... familiar. Was it Austin?

"It took me great courage to say this to the public. Yet, i'm determined. Although rejected, I hope for a miracle."

"Would you give me this chance? To be with you? I need you, Camie."

Horror was fixed on Camie's face. She was touched, yet embarrassed. Reality struck her as she dashed out of the classroom and flung open the doors of the studio.

Josh turned facing her and they locked eyes, once again.

"Stop it, Josh." Camie said between sobs.

"Why won't you give me the chance? Just what are you afraid of?"

"No, no! I can't tell you Josh! Stop it, stop pretending that you know everything. Just stop it!"

"Tell me, just what exactly is bothering you? Please, let me help." Josh's expression bored sincerity.

Camie's eyes softened.

"I... I..."

"Tell me, Camie."

"I... I... I can't... I can't be a burden to you..."

"What is it that you can't burden me with?"

"I... I... Josh... you... don't understand... I'm just... I'm just... not good enough for you..."

Josh held her face softly. "Please, do not say these. You are my destined girl. You're the one, the only one. Just trust me."

"I'm sorry... I... I can't!" With that, Camie ran out of the studio in tears, with the door slamming shut behind her.

Josh was abandoned, once again. just that this time round, everything was over. Josh threw a tight fist at the walls of the studio, totally ignorant of the physical pain. He was bleeding inside, and it was painful... very painful...

ShArDs [chapter3: hearbreaks]

The annual dance party was nearing and Josh had wanted to take this chance to invite Camie as his dance partner. This time, he stood outside the classroom and waited for Camie.

As Camie strolled out of the classroom, she waved gracefully at Austin.

"Hi!" She said breathlessly.

"So how's your preparations coming up?" Austin asked with a wide grin that made Josh want to bash him up.

"Yea, great."

Noticing the strange look on Josh's face, Camie introduced him as her partner for the dance party. Hurt was written all over Josh's face. It was as if he had been hit by a hammer, his feet rooted firmly to the ground. He was dumbfounded.

"See you, Josh!" Camie smiled and left, leaving Josh all alone. There was Camie, walking beside Austin, the guy known for his good looks and results. Josh was left behind, lonely and pathetic.

Camie could not forget the hurt on Josh's face. She had heard rumors that Josh wanted her as his partner. Yet, she agreed to Austin's request. She had no choice, at least, that was what she thought.

Someone as popular as Josh, someone as great as him, i'm not fit to be with him... Once he know of my... once he know, i would avoid him. I know he would not forsake me, but i don't want to burden him.

Blasting music diffused throughout the spacious hall invaded by young teens dressed in their best. Floodlights shone brightly, creating the night party ambience. The speaker's voice filled the entire hall accompanied by the little hushes of the students.

Josh were with Kimmie, the popular cheerleader. He was looking around for any trace of Camie, yet in vain. Where is she? He thought.

As if answering his question, Camie stepped into the dance hall gracefully. Wearing a simple white tube dress with sequins belt around her waist, she was as beautiful as a swan. Her white heels went along perfectly with her dress, and Josh felt she looked utterly amazing. Her hair was done up neat and nice. Austin was dressed like a prince, but Josh felt sick upon seeing him. Jealousy explains all.

During the party, Josh were greatly troubled. Dancing right in front of him was Kimmie, and she was all that he could ask for. Yet, Camie kept appearing in his mind, capturing his every thought. He could not stop noticing Camie.

Josh tried, several times, to steal Camie away from Austin. He made up lame excuses like phone calls to disrupt their chatting. He would suddenly pop out of nowhere and request private times with Camie.

By chance, Josh managed to invite Camie to a slow dance. His spirits were lifted immediately. At that moment, time seemed to stop only for the two of them, as they stared deeply into each other's eyes. If only it would last...

Finally, he grabbed Camie by her hand and dragged her out of the hall.

"Hey! It hurts!" Camie exclaimed.

"Look at me! Look at me Camie." Josh held her firmly by her shoulders.

Camie calmed down and looked into Josh's pleading eyes.

"You know, I have to tell you this. I... I... just can't stand Austin. I mean... not when he's with you, talking to you, laughin with you, and... and all."

"You don't have to tell me these." Camie replied and turned in an attempt to walk off, wit her back facing Josh.

"I love you." Josh said softly.

Camie froze.

"I love you and can't stop thinking of you. You invade my every thought, my everything. I need you."

"I..." Camie stammered.

"Stop dreaming Josh. we can't be together."

Josh opened his mouth to protest.

Fighting against her tears, Camie stuttered, " Sorry, but, I... I..."

"I don't love you." With that, tears started welling up in her eyes as she ran off. She knew that she was lying, but she had no choice. She could only carry the regret with her for the rest of her life. It would be painful, but she was willing.

Meanwhile, Josh stood alone. He could almost hear the broken pieces of his heart when she said the four words. His heart aches, a lot. A drop of tear fell down to his chin as he clenched his fist to suppress the tears.

ShArDs [chapter2: Will the happy moments last?]

With the passing of each day, Josh and Camie were closer than ever. They shared unforgettable memories that left footprints etched in their hearts. They felt the connection, but it was just not the time to say it. At least, that was what Josh felt.

This day, they spent the night with several of their friends rushing through the art project. Yet, all that was on Josh's mind was today's date, 13 february.

Josh sent Camie home and chatted with her. He was in high spirits, yet anxious, as midnight was round the corner. Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks and looked at his watch. Tapping his foot impatiently, he counted the few seconds left to midnight.

Looking straight into Camie's deep blue eyes, he leaned towards her slowly, taking one step at a time. Finally, they were so close that he could almost feel her gentle breaths. It felt like eternity. He studied her face carefully, one of a quizzical look. Stretching his trembling hands into his pocket, he took out a nicely decorated box.

"For you." Josh whispered.

"Happy valentine."

Upon reaching home, Camie laid on her bed in deep thoughts. She could still feel Josh's warm breaths upon her face. Flashes of the incident kept revolving around in her mind. She felt dizzy with joy. Without any anticipation, Josh's sudden gift was a big surprise to her. When Josh stared into her eyes, it was as if he could see through her every thoughts. Her heartbeat raced as panic ran through her body like an electric shock. At that moment, she had almost melted.

Almost.

She took of the cover of the gift carefully, and found a beautiful bracelet. It was...... nice.



The following day, valentine gifts filled Josh's desk as he stared in awe.

"Wow, spendid." he said to himself.

Being the basketball star, mountains of gifts were showered upon him all these years. Yet, none of it moved him. He was certain of what he wanted.

He scanned the classroom and his gaze rested on Camie. She was looking at him too. She smiled, with a tinge of sadness. It left Josh thinking, why was she sad? The question was left unanswered.

Recess came and once again, Camie was nowhere to be found. Whenever it was recess, or even lunch, Camie vanished into thin air. He could not find her in the canteen, library, or even their classroom. He made it a point to ask her about it next time.

They spent the whole afternoon together at the beach. Finally, they were leaning back to back, laughing hard. Slowly, their topic drifted to a heart-to-heart talk. It was great.

"Hey, i wanna ask you a question." Josh spoke.

"Yea?"

"Where did you disappear to during recess? i tried to find you every recess yet in vain." He enquired.

"Nah. There are too many people out there in the canteen. Maybe you just missed me by an earshot.

"There was something in her tone that tells Josh, she's lying.

n finally, im done!

now im actually thinking of e lunch my grandma gonna make! 1 thing is for certain, living in here, i can actually have e chance to eat my grandma's handmade food. n its aroma is unrivalled! aha, maybe too exaggerating le.

anyway im really satisfied wit my blogskin now! at least i find it alrite aha.

yupp, rmb wad i love? english! aha, i gt an inspiration agn! this time to write out a story. haha, i've alrdy finished 1 chapter.

ShArDs [chapter1: The encounter]

Eyes heavy and burdened, Josh forced them open in a bid to stay awake. His yawn squeezed out the streaks of tears from his unfazed eyes. With half-opened eyes, he stared at the opening doors, welcoming a petite girl bathed in the same uniform as him.

They locked eyes at the split instant when time seemed to freeze, and Josh was left frozen on his step. He felt an undeniable connection with her, yet was unable to comprehend it. Ragaining his posture, he brushed off the feeling with another yawn.

On the way to school, Josh kept his attention fixated on the girl, who was walking in front of him with quick strides. She was thin, in fact, skinny. She looked malnutritioned and unbelievably fragile. Her long curly hair swayed along with her rhythmic pace.

Suddenly, realisation struck him as he looked at his watch, school had started! He was late, in other words, THEY were late.

"Hey!" Josh called out.

The girl turned immediately and stared at him with wide, innocent eyes.

"We're late."

"Really?"

"Follow me." Without thinking, Josh grabbed her cold hands that threatened to break anytime. They went up in a full sprint. He was on cloud nine.

Finally, they came near the school, the magnificent fence looming over them. With a wink, Josh gestured for the girl to climb over him and up on the fence. She did it without sheer effort. Taking a few steps back, Josh ran at top speed and climbed up on to the fence. Now, they were sitting side by side.

"Thanks a lot." She breathed.

"Nah, its alright."

She jumped down steadily and was off, leaving Josh staring at her departing view.

"I caught you!" It was the discipline master.

Mouth hanging open from the state of shock, Josh stared unbelievably at the DM. Now, he was in deep soup.

However, it does not matter to him any bit, because he saw her name tag.

Camie...

hihi! here to blog agn! now gonna talk abt my bata job =)

haha, so was working in sun plaza's bata shoe fair 4 ard ten days or so. really funnn!!!!! got to know alot of frens, really great frens! gee. i tink they r all pretty helpful n kind! i nvr tot tt my first job would be so funn. although its hard sometimes making mistakes n things liddat, but learnt a lot la. love to hang out wit them.

haha, talk abt e first fren i noe, shihuan haha. sh if ure looking at this u sure happy, coz i gonna say gd things abt u! u noe y? coz u too mani bad things to say, too long to write down lol. JK! anyway, she v initiative n talkative. v funn gurl! i always c her squabbling with kelvin v funny sia. i think they 2 squabble v cute haha. rmb e first time i tok to her alrdy gt good impression le coz she v cheerful. a really humorous gurl =) pro suaner n lamer haha.

then, jing tuan, he v funni lol. also an initiative guy. i tink he v takative also n humourous. hmm, n v v v v v qin lao lol. work v hard sia. when we were slacking n talkin he was attendin to customers. pro manz.

then gt one kelvin tan, this one v funni lol. i realised something v qiao. he not onli works in e same bata as mi, he in same jc as mi, same class, even same bdae sia. wahh, so qiao lehh. i even xia dao. v funni!! haha anyway i tink he's a shy guy, dun really tok much de leh. but like v clever haha.

hmm, then got huiting, she quite strict la. but then aft work she kip smiling at us n tok 2 us. quite friendly also haha. but dun really know her well.

ya, then got kelvin lim. v funni guy lol. he lik always laugh laugh laugh de. i tink he from IMH haha. anyway, i tink he quite qin lao also, then like v pro coz he work there quite long le. i tink he also talkative sia, kip toking n toking n toking lol. but actually hor, i tink most of us there r v talkative de leh. pro suaner n joker!

hmm, then huiwen! haha, a really funni n likeable gurl! like to hang out wit her, v bhb also lol. but nvm we can bhb 2gth ha. i tink she v funn to hang out wit, then also v outgoing. got one time go out wit her n was really fun haha.

then gt ka tat, dun really know him well. i onli know tt his name v cute lol.

then gt cindy! haha she v good n kind! then always when c mi will smile n say hi. good fren haha. likable gurl! haha

then another, jorvin. quite quiet leh, but also gd haha.

overall i really glad, v glad tt i gt to know such great frens! nvr tot tt it will be so fun! haha. anyway, i love everyone of them! they rock manz!

end liao. haha, not much to write le haha. anyway, i decided to go poly!
